Oysters aren’t for everyone, but if Mexican flavors are more your style, setup a guacamole station with different types of ingredients to give this side dish a makeover as a focal point. Why not invite a local sommelier or wine shop owner to give your guests a private wine tasting at your cocktail reception? You can provide your guests their own tasting notebook with flavor notes for the different wines. Then, have them leave a note in your tasting book with their favorites along with warm wishes, and voila – instant guest book! Another fall wedding favorite is a coffee, hot chocolate, and smore’s station, complete with all of the trimmings like marshmallows, flavors, and options for making an “adult” version of these warm drinks (bring on the Bailey’s and Jameson, please!). Make the station extra cozy by providing guests with a lounge area for an authentic campfire feel – without the stinky clothes, though!
